We are looking for a dynamic and results-orientated Quotation Specialist to join our team!
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Follow the global Enquiry to Quote process and business rules to create quotes for Customized products and MTO requests including finalizing order entry and advanced technical support when needed.
- When needed: Act as gatekeeper/dispatcher ensuring quality of incoming requests and assigning requests within the Global Engineered Solutions Quotation Team.
- Convert Salesman Request for Quote (SRFQ) into enquiries.
- Validate the Customized Solutions Sales Pipeline according to Business rules.
- Prepare official quotations, setting prices according to global Coromant pricing strategy.
- Provide simpler drawings, based on design templates.
- Make a judgement on the need for more complex design.
- Assigning design tasks to the Design Team.
- Collaborate with Coromant Supply function to receive supply quotes and drawings.
- Create and/or validate product data/material ID in SAP.
- Manage cases through Dynamics Case Management.
- Finalizing the order in SAP as needed.
- Working and communicating with SRT Design Team, Customer Service and Technical Dept, ensuring that both design and quotation timelines align with department KPI’s, in order to provide strong support to sales units to win more business. Living the Sandvik Core Values.

- Specific product application knowledge (Turning, Rotating, Holding, SRT etc.): Familiarity with various metal cutting applications and tooling systems, enabling appropriate recommendations and optimized solutions.
- Able to apply different systems i.e. EBP, Fiori, EPLM, CAPP, Dynamics CRM: Skilled in using various digital platforms for planning, quoting, project tracking, and customer relationship management to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Able to follow up closely with different stakeholders: Proactively tracks progress and maintains regular communication with internal teams and customers to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Be persuasive and have good interpersonal skills: Effectively influence others, build rapport, and maintain strong relationships through clear communication and empathy.
- Capable of working in a demanding and exciting environment (high stress tolerance): Performs well under pressure, adapts quickly to change, and maintains composure in fast-paced or high-demand situations.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in different kinds of situations.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Sales Force Interaction: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with sales, ensuring their needs are understood and met throughout the quotation and design process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with sales, engineering, project management, and other departments to ensure alignment between design, costs, and client expectations.
- Cross-functional Training: Ability to collaborate with and gain knowledge from multiple departments within the organization. This includes understanding the roles, processes, and goals of different teams, to enhance teamwork, improve communication, and support the seamless execution of projects.
- Ability to work as part of an international team: Comfortable collaborating across cultures and time zones, respecting diverse perspectives while contributing to shared goals.
- Design Skills: Proficiency in designing tools can be a significant differential, enhancing the ability to provide optimized solutions and high-quality results.
- Have a strong understanding of our business, products, processes and systems.
- Experience of managing Enquiry to Quote is an added plus.
- Have the ability to create strong working relationships with internal and external staff.
Education
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
