Currently we have an opening for a Senior Financial Analytics & Data Lead within our Finance function.
The Senior Financial Analytics & Data Lead will play a critical role in modernizing the Finance data ecosystem to improve the speed, reliability, and structure of financial reporting and performance analysis. This role will help reduce manual effort, strengthen reporting integrity, and enable structured, scalable analytics across the Finance organization, including practical AI-enabled workflows embedded into Finance operations.
The successful candidate will assess our current data architecture and analytical workflows, re-engineer reporting and month-end close processes, and build a scalable Microsoft Fabric/Azure-based data foundation that delivers faster, more reliable, and more structured financial insight.
Working closely with Finance, Operations, and IT, this role will translate business questions into scalable data solutions by designing robust data pipelines and delivering reliable analytical outputs such as Power BI dashboards, financial models, and performance reporting that support leadership decision-making.
The position combines strong financial acumen with advanced data and analytics capability. Embedded within the Business Control function, the role is focused on improving business performance visibility, strengthening execution discipline, and advancing the Finance organization’s data and analytics maturity.

What you will be doing – Core responsibilities
Finance Data Architecture & Environment Assessment:
- Assess the current Finance data environment, including reporting workflows, data sources, and analytical processes.
- Identify structural inefficiencies in how financial data is collected, transformed, and consumed.
- Re-engineer financial data structures to improve scalability, reliability, and transparency across reporting and analytics.
- Reduce manual intervention in month-end close workflows. Use AI and process automation to support the Financial Control team in enhancing the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of month-end close and reporting, while streamlining routine and manual activities.
- Automate recurring reporting tasks to enhance accuracy and control integrity.
- Redesign data structures to better support driver-based business performance analysis.
Financial Data Engineering & Pipeline Development:
- Design and maintain structured data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and SQL-based environments.
- Integrate ERP, CRM, and operational datasets to create unified analytical models for Finance.
- Ensure financial data models are optimized for reporting accuracy, performance analysis, and forecasting.
Power BI & Financial Analytics Platform Ownership:
- Own the development and optimization of Power BI semantic models, measures, and reporting architecture.
- Standardize financial reporting structures and KPI definitions across the organization.
- Improve dashboard reliability, refresh stability, and data lineage transparency.
- Design and optimize enterprise-grade semantic models.
- Design optimized star-schema and medallion-style data models.
Intelligent Automation & AI Enablement:
- Prepare financial datasets and models to support AI-enabled variance analysis and performance insights.
- Identify practical opportunities to embed AI and automation within financial analysis workflows.
- Support the development of structured commentary generation and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Identify and automate repetitive month-end and reporting workflows, reducing manual effort and improving reporting speed, reliability, and control integrity.
Governance, Documentation & Sustainability:
- Establish clear governance and documentation for Finance data models, pipelines, and reporting assets.
- Reduce key-person dependencies through structured architecture and knowledge transfer.
- Implement best practices for deployment pipelines, version control, and model management.
Close Process & Reporting Automation:
- Improve the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of month-end close and reporting by reducing manual data manipulation.
- Implement automation and structured data processes that streamline recurring reporting workflows.
- Support the Financial Control team in strengthening reporting consistency and execution discipline.
- Provide direct support to Business Controllers, management, and other stakeholders, providing insight into a wide range of business and financial decisions.
Environmental Health and Safety

What you will bring along
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
- CPA designation or progress toward designation considered an asset.
- 4–7 years of experience in financial analytics, business intelligence, or data-driven FP&A roles.
- Demonstrates a team-first mindset, working collaboratively across Finance and the broader organization to achieve shared outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Required Technical Skills:
- Advanced SQL capabilities including complex queries, window functions, and performance optimization
- Strong Power BI expertise including semantic modeling, DAX development, and performance tuning
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in modern cloud environments
- Experience working with Microsoft data platforms (Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or similar ecosystems)
- Strong data modeling expertise including star schema design and scalable analytical datasets
- Experience integrating data from ERP, CRM, and operational systems
- Exposure to Copilot or LLM-grounded analytics in enterprise environments
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills including ThinkCell.
Required Business Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial statements and key performance drivers
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis
- Ability to translate financial questions into structured data models and analytical frameworks
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to business users
