About the job
As Digital Strategy and Portfolio Specialist, you’re the central point of contact for digitalization initiatives across Sandvik Powder Solutions. You translate digital strategy into a structured, transparent and value-driven portfolio of projects and initiatives, connecting strategic direction with hands-on execution across functions.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and manage the digital project and initiative portfolio, ensuring transparency on progress, costs, benefits and risks.
- Drive the digital demand management process, including intake, evaluation and prioritization of new initiatives.
- Coordinate resources across the digital team and business departments to support effective execution.
- Develop governance structures, frameworks and standards for portfolio, project and transformation management.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration through community groups and fusion teams.
- Represent the division in global forums and support capability building across the organization.
Location and flexibility
Preferred location for this role is our divisional headquarters in St. Martin, Austria, with a minimum of 30% on-site presence. Other locations in Europe may also be considered, while presence at the Austrian site is needed, and international travel is included.
Your profile
You have an IT education with a business focus – such as business administration or business informatics – or comparable hands-on experience in digital transformation, portfolio management or IT demand management. With a structured and analytical mindset, you bring clarity to complex topics and help turn strategic ideas into actionable initiatives.
You also bring:
- Experience in digital transformation, project or portfolio management, or PMO functions.
- Strong understanding of business processes and how they interact with IT systems, such as ERP and digital platforms.
- Experience with demand management and stakeholder alignment.
- General IT understanding, including areas such as network, security and infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills in German and English.
You enjoy moving between strategic topics and operational execution, creating structure while keeping momentum. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you’re comfortable connecting people, managing expectations and guiding decisions in a constructive way. With curiosity for digitalization and continuous learning, you help others strengthen their digital skills and contribute to building future capabilities.
