Warehouse Worker (Leading Hand) – Kenwick, WA

About the opportunity

Sandvik Mining is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Worker (Leading Hand) to support and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations within our Parts & Services division. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate supply of spare parts and materials to both internal and external customers.

As a Leading Hand, you will provide hands-on operational support while motivating and guiding the warehouse team. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to prioritise dispatch activities, maintain data accuracy across systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives, all while upholding Sandvik’s strong commitment to safety and quality.

This is a Monday to Friday, site-based role, with all work performed from the Sandvik Kenwick facility.


Responsibilities

  • Support daily warehouse operations including pick, pack, dispatch, invoicing, and shipping documentation.

  • Prioritise outbound tasks to meet customer and business requirements.

  • Oversee shared inboxes and coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate data entry across warehouse, logistics, and EHS systems.

  • Investigate dispatch discrepancies and implement corrective actions where required.

  • Ensure warehouse housekeeping and maintenance standards are consistently met.

  • Motivate and guide warehouse team members, fostering teamwork and accountability.

  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders and provide relief during periods of leave.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support operational efficiency.

  • Ensure all tasks are completed in line with Sandvik’s EHS policies and Zero Harm commitment.

About you

You are a safety-focused and organised warehouse professional with experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in maintaining high standards, supporting your team, and delivering excellent service to customers.

  • Demonstrated warehouse experience (essential).

  • Previous experience leading or coordinating a team (essential).

  • Minimum Year 12 qualification or equivalent.

  • Strong computer literacy with experience using Warehouse or Logistics Management Systems.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.

  • Current “C” Class driver’s licence (required).

  • Forklift licence and experience in mining or equipment manufacturing environments (desirable).
