Inside Sales Representative

Rock Processing Solutions (SRP) is a Business area within the Sandvik Group, a leading supplier of equipment, tools, parts, service, digital solutions, and sustainability-driving technologies for processing rock and minerals in the mining and construction industries worldwide.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Support

• Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate responses.

• Build strong customer relationships as part of the sales and account team.

• Assess customer needs and route complex issues to the appropriate internal resources.

• Take ownership of customer concerns and ensure commitments are fulfilled.

• Proactively communicate order updates, backlog issues, and other relevant information.

Sales Support

• Assist with customer outreach to share product information, promotions, and basic add-on options.

• Provide support to Outside Sales by gathering pricing details, preparing quotations, and organizing information for customer meetings.

• Participate in occasional onsite visits to support follow-up tasks and customer discussions.

• Track customer feedback and share observations with the manager.

• Support routine Salesforce updates and help maintain accurate data in digital sales tools.

Sales Order Management

• Process sales orders via phone, email, and e-business platforms.

• Manage urgent or expedited orders to meet customer delivery timelines.

• Support aftermarket sales activities, including quoting, supplier coordination, delivery scheduling, and invoicing.

• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to support cash collection.

Operational Coordination

• Use internal tools and systems to fulfill customer requirements.

• Maintain accurate backorder reports and participate in customer review meetings.

• Support Key Account Managers with quotes, availability checks, pricing, and technical requests.

• Coordinate freight quotes, arrange shipments, and obtain proof of delivery.

• Manage container orders and ensure timely delivery and invoicing.

• Prepare monthly CSR reports.

Technical Sales Support

• Assess basic technical compatibility of components and escalate to technical teams when needed.

• Build product knowledge to support customer conversations and troubleshooting.

EHS Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to Sandvik’s safety-first culture.

• Maintain required EHS training and follow PPE and safety protocols.

• Participate in hazard reporting and safety initiatives.

Team Collaboration

• Work effectively in both virtual and in-office environments.

• Engage actively in team communication and collaboration.

• Participate in weekly virtual and in-person meetings.

• Contribute to team building and a cooperative team culture.

Qualifications

• Travel required <40 rotating after-hours on-call support required.>

Education & Experience

• Associate degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience.

• 2–5 years of customer service or inside sales experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce Case Management).

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to learn and apply Sandvik operating systems (Aurora, Salesforce).

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong data management, reporting, and digital literacy.

• Ability to work effectively in both virtual and office settings.
