The Business Controller (BC) is Responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analysing business activities and operating results from both a financial and operational perspective, identifying improvement areas and implementing appropriate action plans which align with business objectives, with a focus on containing costs and enhancing profitability. Your responsibilities include:

Your mission
As Business Controller (BC) you are reporting to the Head of Finance and Compliance, and you are responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analysing business activities and operating results from both a financial and operational perspective, identifying improvement areas and implementing appropriate action plans which align with business objectives, with a focus on containing costs and enhancing profitability. Your responsibilities include:
Budgetary control
Responsible for service and job management, ensuring that all EQ jobs and contracts are correctly set up and reported accurately. Ensures that equipment and service jobs are accurately opened, costs captured and released.
Assisting with the quarterly rolling forecasts by coordinating the forecasting process with all HODs and relevant stakeholders. Primary responsibility for completing volumes, capital expenditure, net working capital, and costs workbooks for review by management. Responsible for forecast uploads and analysis to ensure accuracy.
Review and analysis of entity operating results in relation to cost, budgets, and agreed KPIs monthly, providing improvement areas. Assist with the preparation of relevant monthly reports for presentation to Management.
Analysis of service/performance contracts' profitability, identifying areas of improvement and ensuring implementation of corrective action by the Service/Contract Managers. Provide service reports for analysis of contract invoicing, profitability, and labor recovery. Compiling and carrying out detailed analysis of contract trends, gross profits, costs, and revenue projections vs budget.
Submission of monthly Contracts/Service P&L to the Service Manager.
Reviews pricing changes, standard costs, and customer profitability on over-the-counter sales in line with expected profitability and forecasts. Ensures prices and standard costs are correctly maintained.
Variance analysis and submission of monthly comments to the Head of Finance.
Compiling weekly forecasts (early indicators), reviewing, and discussing them with various stakeholders before submission to Business Line Managers.
Financial and operational
Monthly reporting of financial results in BPC, ensuring that all reports have been completed as per set deadlines and in accordance with Sandvik reporting requirements.
Coordinates the submission of and checks the accuracy of Finance weekly reports.
Accurate invoicing of service contracts as per signed contracts and in line with IFRS 15.
Assisting the AR controller in effective AR management and collection by ensuring that service and EQ invoices are signed and authorised, and timely and sufficient PODS are provided to avoid overdue invoices.
Ensuring accurate cost centre setups, regular review of financial transactions, and system allocations. Monitoring of expenditure and liaising with HODs to ensure effective cost management.
Regular review of inventory reports, goods in transit, GRNI, and GIGO reports for compliance with Sandvik Reporting policies and guidelines.
Review of Qlikview and maintenance of Aurora to ensure the accuracy of reports.
Overseeing stock takes and cycle counts, ensuring that applicable policies and procedures are adhered to.
Responsible for Work in Progress management, including WIP counts, providing reports to Service and Contracts Managers. Review and monitor overdue jobs, implement action items, and get them resolved timeously.
Compliance and Stakeholder Relations
Monitoring of internal controls for Service and EQ as per the Sandvik internal controls matrix
Ensuring that proper filing of documents and sign-offs is maintained within the department
Assisting the Head of Finance in ensuring the timely completion of internal and external audits.
People Management
Manage the recruitment of subordinates in accordance with HR policy and procedures.
Manage the performance of subordinates through the development of performance agreements and conducting performance reviews.
Create learning opportunities for subordinates through the identification of areas for development, coaching, and recommending formal functional training when required.
Manage sound employee relations in accordance with HR policy and procedures. Responsible

Complies with Sandvik Mining EHS policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations or requirements.
Identifies and reports any unsafe work practices.
Ensures that all activities are carried out within Sandvik Values and according to Sandvik Policies and Procedures.

Your profile
We are looking for a person with a good business understanding and a solid background in the mining or engineering business.
A strategic and analytical leader with strong people and organisational skills, who effectively motivates, influences, and develops a team. You’re good at building relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. You also have experience in value-based selling, business follow-up, and performance management. In-depth knowledge of Aurora/SAP ERP is an added advantage.

Votre mission
En tant que Business Controller (BC), vous rapportez au Responsable Finance et Conformité. Vous êtes chargé de suivre, mesurer et analyser les activités de l’entreprise ainsi que les résultats opérationnels et financiers, d’identifier les axes d’amélioration et de mettre en œuvre des plans d’action appropriés alignés sur les objectifs de l’entreprise, avec un accent particulier sur la maîtrise des coûts et l’amélioration de la rentabilité.
Contrôle budgétaire
Responsable de la gestion des services et des missions, en veillant à ce que tous les contrats et missions EQ soient correctement configurés et rapportés avec précision.
Veille à l’ouverture correcte des missions, à la saisie des coûts et à leur validation.
Participe aux prévisions trimestrielles en coordonnant le processus avec les chefs de département et les parties prenantes. Responsable de la préparation des volumes, des dépenses d’investissement, du fonds de roulement et des coûts pour examen par la direction.
Analyse mensuelle des résultats opérationnels par rapport aux coûts, budgets et KPI convenus, en identifiant les axes d’amélioration.
Analyse de la rentabilité des contrats de service/performance, identification des améliorations et mise en œuvre des actions correctives avec les responsables de contrats.
Soumission mensuelle du P&L des contrats/services au Responsable Service.
Revue des changements de prix, des coûts standards et de la rentabilité client.
Analyse des écarts et soumission des commentaires mensuels au Responsable Finance.
Préparation des prévisions hebdomadaires et discussion avec les parties prenantes avant la soumission aux Business Line Managers.
Financier et opérationnel
Reporting mensuel des résultats financiers dans BPC, conformément aux délais et aux exigences de Sandvik.
Coordination et vérification des rapports financiers hebdomadaires.
Facturation précise des contrats de service selon IFRS 15.
Assistance au contrôleur AR pour une gestion efficace des créances.
Vérification des centres de coûts, suivi des transactions et allocations.
Revue régulière des rapports d’inventaire, des biens en transit et conformité avec les politiques Sandvik.
Supervision des inventaires et des comptages cycliques.
Gestion du Work in Progress (WIP), suivi des missions en retard et mise en œuvre d’actions correctives.
Conformité et relations avec les parties prenantes
Suivi des contrôles internes pour les services et EQ selon la matrice Sandvik.
Maintien d’un archivage approprié des documents et validations.
Assistance au Responsable Finance pour les audits internes et externes.
Gestion des personnes
Recrutement des subordonnés selon la politique RH.
Gestion de la performance via des accords de performance et des évaluations.
Création d’opportunités de formation et de développement.
Gestion des relations employé conformes aux politiques RH.
Leadership personnel, sécurité et environnement
Respect des politiques EHS de Sandvik et des réglementations applicables.

Votre profil
Nous recherchons une personne ayant une bonne compréhension des affaires et une solide expérience dans le secteur minier ou de l’ingénierie.
Un leader stratégique et analytique doté de fortes compétences organisationnelles et humaines, capable de motiver, influencer et développer une équipe. Vous excellez dans la création de relations avec les clients et les parties prenantes internes. Vous avez également de l’expérience en vente basée sur la valeur, en suivi des activités et en gestion de la performance. Une connaissance approfondie d’Aurora/SAP ERP constitue un atout supplémentaire.
